SHORT DIALOGUES_PUPPET SHOW_105th Primary School of Thessaloniki

Since our project is about getting to know each others' culture, the students wrote short dialogues, which they made into posters using AI. The next step was acting them out as a puppet show using traditional figures they made themselves with their Art Teacher at school. They really loved and enjoyed the whole procedure.   Gonca SOLMAZ/ Gaziemir Science and Art Center The Blue Bead’s Journey from İzmir – Puppet Theatre Activity As part of our eTwinning project, our students prepared and performed a short puppet theatre activity to introduce an important symbol of Turkish culture: the nazar bead , also known as the blue bead . The activity was called “The Blue Bead’s Journey from İzmir.” In the story, a visitor comes to a traditional glass workshop in Nazarköy, İzmir , where a glass master introduces the handmade nazar bead. Through the dialogue between the visitor, the glass master and the blue bead, students explained that the nazar bead is not only a decoration, but also a symbol of good wishes, friendship, protection and Turkish glass art . For the performance, students prepared simple but effective puppets using printed characters and wooden sticks. They designed a glass master, a visitor and a blue bead puppet.
